A Christmas Tree Festival

St Editha’s Church Eaton
Friday 28th November to Monday 1st December 2014 10 am to 4 pm - £2.50 adult admission (accompanied children free)

A magical display of more than 40 Christmas trees with a theme of ‘Christmas Stories’ as well as musical interludes in the Church and refreshments and craft stalls in the Village Institute on Saturday & Sunday  
Festival Choir Concert Friday 28th November at 7.30pm £5.00 admission includes interval refreshment
Festival Songs of Praise Sunday 30th November at 5.30pm

Well it was not the first place we may have hoped for, but Highly Commended is worth having. A number of things were going on in the village during the judging which may not have shown Church Eaton at its best. Unfortunately, the excellent children's posters were also delayed.

Haughton again won the Stafford area and the County large village category and Salt took the small village first place.

On Sunday 22nd June 2014 nine gardens were open including an N.G.S. garden, the school pond, a variety of village gardens and the rarely open grounds of Little Onn Hall. Several gardens had refreshments available. Over £1,400 was raised for the Church and the Village Institute. Many thanks to all who helped. (Click here for garden pictures and more details)
