VILLAGE FESTIVAL 2011
Another great event which achieved its primary aim of community Involvement.

It also turned out to be a financial success and the payments to village causes are listed opposite.

The total amount distributed was £4200.

The 2011 'Village Festival' was our tenth and it was something special.

There were 58 scarecrows made by villagers this year.

FUN DOG SHOW RESULTS

The Prettiest Bitch was Meg owned by Shaun and shown by Sarah.

The Most Handsome Hound was won by Balto the gorgeous Siberian Husky.

The Waggiest Tail award, once again, went to Ziggy owned by Martin.

This year saw the first dog jumping event against the clock with Sarah Hall and Isobelle taking first place with a very fast round!

The festival committee has thanked Joanna Critchley-Vickers for organising the sponsors for the horse show; Sally Arkinstall and air cadets from the Stafford and Rugeley squadron for setting up the course and Roger and Simon Thomas for lending their field, not only for the horse show, but also for the dog show and as a car park.  Thanks are extended to David Massie for his field used as a car park and to Paul and Alison Maxfield for allowing us to use the Old Rectory field for various events.
